The Greenon Knights men’s basketball team hosted Graham on Friday, December 20 in the team’s second Mad River Division contest of the season.  The Knights entered the game on a three game losing streak, with the last being a 64-27 loss to Tecumseh.  Greenon came into the game at (1-4) overall and (0-1) in the division.  Graham was (1-2) overall and (1-0) in Mad River division play.  The game had been postponed twice before, but the weather finally allowed the rivalry to take place.…

The Greenon women’s basketball team couldn’t afford to think ahead to Christmas, as the Knights had two important games ahead of them before they could relax and enjoy the Holidays.  The Knights first tested themselves against one of the best teams in the region, Miami East.  Miami East presented a tough challenge, as the Vikings had defeated Greenon 47-29 last season.  Miami East ended last season with a record of 25-2 overall and ranked eighth in the state.  Greenon then hosted Mad River Division rival Graham.   Graham entered the game tied with the Knights for first place in the division, with both (2-0) in division play.  Greenon had dominated Graham in both meetings last season, with an average margin of victory of 21 points per game.…

The Greenon Knights women’s basketball team hosted Greeneview on Monday, January 13 in a big test for the Lady Knights. The game would be an important measuring stick for the team, as Greeneview is one of the best teams in the area and in Division III. Greeneview entered the game at (10-2) overall and ranked third in the Springfield News Sun’s area power rankings. Greenon lost to Greeneview 52-36 in the second game of the season last year, and looked to be in for quite a battle.
