Our Editorial Philosophy

Our editorial team follows a clear principle: report the facts, seek the truth, and reflect the diverse voices of Enon. We work collaboratively to ensure our content is accurate, accessible, and accountable. From planning story coverage to editing final drafts, every member of our team contributes to maintaining the quality and consistency readers have come to expect.

Leadership

Our Editor-in-Chief oversees all editorial operations, making sure our coverage meets journalistic standards and reflects the values of the community. With years of experience in local journalism, they champion ethical reporting and foster relationships with local leaders and residents alike.

The Managing Editor handles the day-to-day newsroom operations—assigning stories, reviewing articles, and managing deadlines. Their organizational skills and editorial vision help keep the Enon Eagle agile and responsive to breaking news and developing stories.

Reporters and Contributors

Our reporters are the backbone of our coverage. They attend council meetings, interview community members, and chase leads throughout Clark County. Each has a specialty:

  • Local Government Reporter focuses on public policy and local legislation.

  • Education Reporter covers Greenon schools, student life, and school board affairs.

  • Community Life Reporter highlights local events, culture, and the arts.

  • Public Safety Correspondent works closely with first responders to inform readers about crime and safety.

We also regularly feature guest writers from the community—including teachers, students, business owners, and historians—adding unique perspectives to our pages.

Web and Layout Designers
Our digital team ensures the Enon Eagle website remains accessible and user-friendly, while our print designers bring every issue to life with thoughtful layouts and clear structure.

Internships and Student Programs

We believe in investing in the next generation of journalists. Through partnerships with Greenon High School and local colleges, we offer internships and mentorships that give students hands-on newsroom experience. Many of our current staff members started as student interns.
