The Enon-Mad River Township Fire Association provided community service to two parks located in the Village and Township on Saturday.

The group founded in 1949 includes past and present members of the fire department along with community supporters of the department.

During the clean up approximately 7 bags of trash were removed from Porter Park located in Holiday Valley and another bag from Galloway Park located just off Hunter Road.

Participating in the clean-up were Nick Thornton and his wife Jessica, Jeremy Leist, John Heath, Mike Gardone, Maxine McKee, Jenna Bennett and John Clark.  Several members of the department’s Cadet program also participated along with some members children.

This effort was in conjunction with the Great American Cleanup and the Keep Clark County Beautiful Campaign.
