The lights on the Christmas Tree came on with the flick of a switch again this year as the Enon Community Historical Society held their annual visit with Santa on Saturday. Santa led those assembled in the singing of Silent Night just before the tree lighting.

John McElroy entertained the members of the community who attended the event in the society’s Mike Barry Research Center. A special holiday display was also part of the festivities again this year.

Despite the chilly weather, families lined up outside the log cabin to spend a few moments whispering their Christmas wishes in Santa’s ear before he had to leave to return to the North Pole.

Santa will visit the area again on December 9 for the annual parade sponsored by the Enon/Mad River Township Fire and EMS Department. Santa will be riding atop one of the fire trucks and will be touring neighborhoods throughout the community during the evening.
