SHOEMAKER, Helen Lenore (Northup) 99, of Enon, passed away on Friday, December 23rd, 2011 in the Ohio Masonic Home. 

She was born on March 1st, 1912, in Cedarville, Ohio.

The daughter of Clyde and Myrtle (Paxton) Northup. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Frank “Casey” Shoemaker in 1989. 

Lenore was a member of the Enon United Methodist Church, also a member of the Enon “Keenagers”, Order of the Eastern Star formerly Antioch, a member of Xenia Eldora #262, former District Deputy of the Ohio O.E.S. in 1971. 

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Carol and James McDonel of Lebanon; and Karen and Jim Culp of Enon; grandchildren; James (Jennifer) McDonel of Buffalo, New York; Greg (Christy) McDonel of Lebanon; Joe (Diane) Culp of Seattle Washington; and Laura (Patrick) Blair of Indianapolis, Indiana.  Nine great grandchildren; Casey, Duncan, Rachel, Maggy, Kate, Taylor, Matthew, Grant, and Liam; and many nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and five brothers; Lynn, Dwight, Donald, Robert, and Justin; a grandson, Douglas McDonnel. 

A celebration of her life was held on December 28th, 2011 with Pastor Jeff Moore of the Enon United Methodist Church officiating.  The burial was at Enon Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Enon United Methodist Church building fund.
