Trout, Max D. (Lieutenant Colonel, Retired  USAF), 86  of South Pasadena, Florida, died on Monday, August 9, 2010 at WPAFB Hospital in Fairborn, Ohio following an extended illness.

Ltc. Trout was born on March 25, 1924 in Springfield, Ohio to Roger K. and Faye M. (Detrick) Trout.  Enon, Ohio is where he grew up and graduated from Enon High School.  Max began his military career in January,1943, retiring from service in May 1973.  While serving in the Air Force, he also graduated from The Ohio State University.  Max married Doris “Dot” (Roe) on January 6, 1945 in Riverside, California.

In retirement, Max and Dot traveled extensively.  He enjoyed an array of activities including sailing, tennis, hunting, fishing, salmon fishing in Alaska, reciting poems entertaining his family and friends. Max was a duplicate bridge player, and he especially enjoyed cheering on his OSU Buckeyes football team.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, originally raised at Lodge 421 in Yellow Springs, Ohio; a member of the Scottish Rite and the Shrine.

Max is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dot; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Katherine A. Trout of Enon, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Katherine S. Trout of Springfield, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, R. Andrew and Mary Trout of Pueblo, Colorado.   Grandchildren:  Stefanie and James Patsiavos, Christopher and Megan Trout, Brandy and Jared Edens; Jean Trout, Suzanne and Aaron Anderson, Kathleen Washabaugh, Matthew Trout, Sarah Trout, Crystal Trout and Amber Trout; 13 great grandchildren: Maxwell, Stella, Evan, Angela, Nicholas, Dylan, Logan, Travis, Joshua, Jocelyn, Julie, Aaron, Tessala; one great-great grandchild, Layla; nieces, Terry Sweet and Peggy Gamber and their families.

A private family service was held.   Arrangements made by Adkins Funeral Home, Enon, Ohio.
