Karen A. Lyerla, 69, of Enon, Ohio died Monday, August 16, 2010 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 15, 1940 in Pekin, Illinois the daughter of Glen and Mildred (Price) Lumberry. Mrs. Lyerla had been a school bus driver in Worthington, Ohio for twenty-four years and moved to Enon four years ago. She was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church in Enon, the Fairborn Senior Center and had been a member of Order of Eastern Star in Columbus.

She is survived by one son Jeff Lyerla of Marysville, Ohio; two daughters and a son-in-law Kelley and Neal Auckerman of Springfield and Michele Lyerla of Sunnyvale, California; eight grandchildren Kevin and Jacy Gagnon, Hunter and Canyon Lyerla, Garrett, Adriene, Noah and Katlyn Auckerman; two great granddaughters Maiya Gagnon and Jadlynn Auckerman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Chaquita Martin and two infant sons.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, Springfield. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Pastor Ron Lee officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
