Martha V. Brown, affectionately known as “Bow”, 90, of Enon passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010 in Hospitality House East, Xenia.

She was born December 22, 1919 in Enon the daughter of Omer P. and Beatrice (Jones) Hause.

Mrs. Brown earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University and worked as a surgical nurse at University Hospital. She then earned a Bachelor’s of Education from Central State University and taught school at Enon Elementary for over thirty years.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Travis M. and Patricia A. Brown of Yellow Springs, and Joseph O. and Debra D. Brown of Xenia; four grandchildren Yvonne (Adam) Brann, Lisa (Jason) Rose, Danielle (Jesse) Saunders and Christina (Timothy) Hayslip;  six great grandchildren; one niece Carmia Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Travis D. Brown in 1983; two brothers Robert and Joseph Hause; one sister Mary Snyder.

Friends may call Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, Springfield.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Carol Gesalman officiating. Burial will be in Plattsburg Cemetery.
