Maj. William S. Andes, USAF Ret., 74, of Fairborn, passed away at 6:00PM Sunday, May 9, 2010 in his residence. He was born May 3, 1936 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, the son of Levi J. and Luella (Sweigart) Andes.

Mr. Andes was a member of Del City Lodge # 536, F & AM, the Scottish Rite Valley of Guthrie Oklahoma, the Antioch Shrine, the Clark County Shrine Club, the American Legion, a life member of the D. A. V., and the N. R. A. He was retired form the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross Medal. He was also an independent dealer for AMSOIL.
Survivors include his loving companion; Paula J. Gray, Fairborn, his children; William Scott Andes, Springfield and Melanie Sue (Joseph) Fahey, Lexington, Ohio, grandsons; Nathaniel and Jonathan Fahey, the mother of his children; Joyce M. Andes, Springfield, and his special girl Mindy.
He was preceded in death by his special girl Cindy and a sister; Martha.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Masonic Lodge services will be held at 7:30 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual, Ohio.
