Janet I. Brown, 71, of Enon, passed away at 2:30 PM Saturday, April 10, 2010. She was born May 17, 1938 in Urbana, the daughter of Halliard and Effie (Gammell) Long.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Trinity Missionary Church, V. F. W. Post #8373 Ladies Auxiliary, the Eagles #397 and TOPS. She had been employed at the Wayside Tavern for many years and thoroughly enjoyed the Clark County Fair.

Survivors include four children; Roberta (Alan) Wood, Springfield, Ginny (Jerry) Brown, Enon, Hal V. (Bev) Brown, Union, Marty (Karla) Brown, Springfield, grandchildren; Leslie (Paul) Hicks, Shawn (Sheila) Rolfe, Chad (Krissy) Brown, David McClure, Amanda Wood, Aimee Frock, Tamara Brown, Megan Brown, Jerry (Jamie) Brown, great grandchildren; Ashley Lovegrove, Michael Hicks, Alex Ryan, Bryanna Brown, C. J. Brown, Sophie Brown, one brother; Don Long, Springfield, special friend; Aretta Kline, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Earl Brown Jr. in 1988, a grand daughter; Renee Wood two brothers; Jim and Bob Long and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Warren Banks officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery.
