The village of Enon has enlisted the aid of an independent company operated by three police officers to help select a successor for Troy Callahan as chief of police.
Between July and September, the village will submit candidates to the Kettering Group, which will rank them through its evaluation process.  The village will then make its choice, based on that ranking, Mayor Tim Howard explained.  He went on to say that the village feels that having the evaluations conducted by law enforcement personnel is a fair and unbiased way of making the selection.
The village hopes to have the new chief in place by early October.
