On Friday, February 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Sheriff Gene A. Kelly will be holding a promotion ceremony for the ranks of Captain, Lieutenant, and Sergeant.  
The ceremony will take place in the Raynor Room at the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, located at
120 North Fountain Avenue, Springfield, Ohio.
The newly sworn Captain, Lieutenant and Sergeant will begin their duties on Monday, February 6, 2012.                  
It is my pleasure to introduce:

Captain Jonathan Eric Holmes: began his career with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on August 24, 1989.  Captain Holmes is a life-long resident of Clark County, a graduate of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy-Clark State Community College, attended Wright State University and Clark State Community College majoring in Sociology with an emphasis on Criminal Justice, and he is a 1984 graduate from Shawnee High School.  Captain Holmes is a Retired Master Sergeant with the Ohio Air National Guard, with over twenty years of military service.  Captain Holmes has worked in the Jail Division, Uniform Patrol Division, Community-Oriented Policing Services Division, New Carlisle Division, and Criminal Investigations Division.  Captain Holmes is currently the Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division.  Captain Holmes will assume the duties as Operations Commander.

Lieutenant Christopher Clark: began his career with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Communication Division on April 28, 1997.  Lieutenant Clark is a life-long resident of Clark County, a 1994 graduate of Southeastern High School and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy-Clark State Community College in 1998.  Lieutenant Clark has worked as a Communications Dispatcher, a Deputy within the Jail Division, Uniform Patrol Division and Investigations. Lieutenant Clark was the current Sergeant assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division.  Lieutenant Chris Clark will assume the duties as the Investigations Division Commander.

Sergeant Richard P. Brumfield: began his career with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on May 11, 1992.  Sergeant Brumfield is a life-long resident of Clark County, a 1983 graduate of Kenton Ridge High School and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy-Clark State Community College in 1991.  Sergeant Brumfield is a Retired Master Sergeant with the Ohio Air National Guard, with over twenty-one years of military service.  Sergeant Brumfield has worked in the Jail Division, P.R.I.D.E. Division, Community-Oriented Policing Services–New Carlisle Division, Uniform Patrol Division, and Criminal Investigations Division. Sergeant Brumfield is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division.
