Legacy Fitness Center recently opened in the Enon area offering classes, state of the art equipment, and trained professionals for all of your workout needs.

Owner Mark Woodring has worked in the fitness industry for the past 10 years.  He was born in Hershey, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State with a degree in Exercise Science.  He has set up locations throughout the U. S. for well-known companies such as Gold’s Gym, Urban Active, LA Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness.  Following the death of his parents, he elected to follow his dream and use his inheritance to open his own fitness center.  Mark has a passion for his vocation and has worked as a personal trainer.  He selected Enon in late 2011 and has purchased all new equipment for the location on Dayton Road in the Drug Mart Plaza.  Woodring would like the community to know that his business is not affiliated in any way with the previous fitness club that was located in the plaza.
The fitness center offers a variety of equipment including treadmills, stationary bikes and recumbent bikes, elliptical machines and rowers from Precore and Lifefitness.  Troy barbells and dumbbell training equipment is also available.  The center offers a free fitness screening and has personal trainers available to work with clients.  Woodring explained that his staff are all college graduates with physical training degrees or interns from Wright State pursuing degrees in the physical rehab and health care fields.  They can assist individuals with physical rehab using recommendations from a doctor or physical therapist and also offer low-impact cardio workouts.
Classes are forming including Yoga, Pilates, Cardio Kickboxing and Zumba.  Later in the year Woodring plans to add a boot camp-style training class, and others still in the planning stage. The center is open to men and women from age 12 and above.  The cost of using the center is approximately $1 per day on a monthly plan with no contract required.  Lifestyle hours are offered at the center.  They are open from 5:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday.  Friday hours are shortened to 10:00 p.m., and weekends are 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Woodring named the center “Legacy Fitness” to honor his parents.  “If I can change one person’s life, it was worth it,” he said.  As the business grows, Mark hopes to donate a portion of the profits to the ALS Society and the American Heart Association to honor his parents who made his dream business possible.
