Robin Whitaker works hard and is raising two sons ages 12 and 15.  She and the boys live on Charlotte Drive, a quiet area in Mad River Township where you know your neighbors and trust that your home will be a safe place, whether you are at home or off at work and school.  Around December 15th that feeling of security was breached when Robin returned home to find that someone had broken into her home and taken jewelry and a popular video game system.  She reported the theft to the Clark County Sheriff’s office and talked to neighbors who witnessed young men around her home that day.  While her oldest son took the violation of his home in stride, her younger son was quite shaken by the experience of having his home invaded by thieves.
On Friday, December 23rd, Robin arrived home to find a couple of large packages on her front stoop.  She had no idea what they were or how they got there.  Upon opening the boxes, she found gifts for both of her sons and herself left by an anonymous person or persons.  “I have no idea who brought the gifts, but I want them to know that they touched my heart so much,” said Robin.  In the boxes were clothing for all the family members and a replacement of the game system that her son loved so much.  Robin said she has received a number of calls of support and concern from people they know and is very thankful for all of the support that the family has received following this incident.  Her youngest son is a star of the local football and basketball teams for middle school students.  She and the boys want the Secret Santa to know how much the generous gift is appreciated.
