Part time Enon Police Officer Dwight Richard has been released from the Montgomery County Jail and was cleared on all charges related to a stabbing that took place in Perry Township on Wolf Creek Pike around 11:30 pm on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.

The Enon Police Department will be working with all agencies involved to learn more about the incident and the role that Richard played.

Richard reported the stabbing of an unidentified female at the home in a 911 call made from outside of the home.  He told dispatchers that he was an off duty police officer and that the suspect Tyler Minton was still present.

When officers arrived, Richard was reported to be away from the home and in the back yard on the ground.  The female victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital and was reported to be in critical condition following the incident.

Minton remained in the Montgomery County Jail pending possible charges of Felonious Assault.

The Enon Eagle will have the complete story in the August 25 issue.
